With a range of rooms capable of holding from 5 to 500, this truly is a versatile space for your organisation. The owners are offering space FREE of charge to community and voluntary groups and social enterprises.

Costs of any services used would have to be met e.g. catering, heating costs of the larger rooms, door stewards if required.

Accommodation is also available on site if needed – see the website http://www.eastgrange.co.uk/ for details about wigwams and lodges.

There a range of options at East Grange, from space for a board meeting to room to hold a talk, seminar, concert, fair or other event. Equipment such as projector, flip charts, TV and DVD is also available for hire.

The only limit is your imagination, so if you’ve got an idea and need a space, it’s definitely worth talking to Victoria or Grigor on 01343 850111 email info@eastgrange.co.uk and going along to view the potential!

Volunteer Centre Moray, as part of TSI Moray, is celebrating Volunteers’ Week 2012 in true Jubilee style with a Volunteer Celebration Tea Party at Lhanbyrde Community Centre on Thursday 7th June from 11am – 2.30pm. There will be tasty cakes and refreshments available for all.

This will be an informal networking event and will allow us all to shout about the contributions volunteers make to our organisations.

Please consider nominating volunteers from your organisation to be recognised on the day. A Volunteers’ Week certificate will be available for ALL volunteer attending on the day, noting their corresponding organisation. But TSI Moray would also like to highlight those special volunteers who have gone above and beyond in aid of their organisation.

So if you would like to nominate a volunteer, simply email Jenny with the person’s name, age and a short description as to why they’re simply fantastic.

If you would like to come along and don’t currently involve volunteers or haven’t done in some time, come and ask your colleagues about what they’re doing and how potentially you can get involved or link projects.

The volunteer awards presentation will be around 1pm.

Volunteers’ Week encourages us to remember that without volunteers, many of us wouldn’t have any service. They not only do the graft of a lot of services, but they also inspire the development of others. Let’s toast them and enjoy a simply wonderful party.

Please get in touch with Jenny if you would like to come along.

See Downloads Page for Prospectus and Application form.

This programme is aimed at senior managers who want to be developed towards future leadership posts. It assumes that you are already well established and are responsible for a team of people. There are senior social workers, solicitors, planners, housing officers and well as police staff on the current course and they seem to be enjoying the content and the challenge! Ideally you need to discuss this with your line manager who will be in a position to support your application.

The whole programme will be delivered in Elgin in the HQ Annexe Training Rooms. Tutors will come from a number of different academic establishments to provide the content.

Accreditation is through Napier University and there is a dedicated Improvement Service consultant available, who has been approved by the university.

She will hold the Induction day in Moray Council Headquarters on 30th May.

It is likely to be a half day event. Responses are awaited before confirming the day will go ahead.

A wide selection of managers is sought and each candidate will be required to work hard, study and research before and after each taught module and complete a 3000 word assignment following each workshop!! The programme is worth 60 credits and will reward the candidate with a Post Graduate certificate.

If you are interested please discuss it with your line manager and let me know. The screening form needs to be completed so that I can get approval from the university and there is still further documentation that must be completed to register you as a distance learning student with the university.
